Gaboon ( also known as Okoume ) Marine Grade plywood is considered one of the finest construction plywood's available today.

This Marine Ply has been developed for Boat / Yacht and other vehicle construction such as motor homes & aircraft where a high performance lightweight product is advantageous and a guaranteed severe exterior resilience is necessary.

Is also very useful for cabinet making, furniture manufacturing, musical instrument construction general joinery, packaging and building development and maintenance such as exterior window shutters, exterior facades and cladding.

A mahogany type tight grain can be varnished for a decorative finish.

Excellent for creating covered panels in wood veneer or laminate overlay

Its the quality of the veneers (plies) and the durability of the species of timber used in the veneers (plies) that make Marine Plywood much better than ordinary exterior grade plywood.

WBP = Weather & Boil Proof

Care must be taken to ensure Gaboon is used with best trade practices and finishing ensures no breakdown or rot occurs.

Good quality marine ply

Not yet had a chance to work with the timber but it looks well constructed. Very sharply cut with no ragged edges. Rather surprised to see that only one face of the ply was protected by cardboard- the other face only had a clear sheet of thin polythene over it. Very fortunate that this face was not damaged in transit. The edges were well protected all round by blue foam shaped protector strip.

24mm marine plywood looks to be good quality.

That's right, ALL orders over £99 are delivered free of charge as long as you have a mainland UK address. Orders under £99 will be charged delivery at £8.99 Scottish Highlands and Islands do demand a surcharge.
